One of the world’s greatest bands, this Californian trio have achieved remarkable success, won a plethora of awards, and influenced countless bands throughout their career spanning twenty-two years. On Saturday 12 December, Channel [V] is paying homage to these legends with GREEN DAY ON [V] - 24 hours dedicated to the music that has inspired three generations of fans.

Melbourne three-piece, Tin Alley, have notched another accolade up their belt this week, this time for their new single ‘Out Of Control’ being the fourth most added track to Australian radio this week.
Last week, the band returned to the ARIA Charts with the same single which debuted in the ARIA top 50 singles chart at number 43 whilst debuting at number 7 on the ARIA Australian Singles Chart. This week the single falls shy of the top 50 and dropped to number 11 on the AIR Charts.
Over to the BIGPOND Music Charts and Tin Alley are still dominating, having this week, for the second consecutive week, topped both the Top 40 Chart and the Rock Singles chart respectively. Read more…

Makaylie Foodey, 17, from Ashtonfield has won a trip to Sydney to participate in a two day music educational “Boot Camp” and perform at the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercar event – after winning the Cardiff heat of the Telstra Road to Tamworth country music talent competition.
As part of her journey toward the Telstra Road to Tamworth Final in Tamworth next January, Makaylie will progress to the next stage of the competition – which includes a performance at one of Sydney’s biggest sporting events – the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 Supercar event held at Sydney Olympic Park in December.
“Boot Camp” is a music development workshop where contestants will gain valuable experience and advice from leading music industry professionals, as well as the opportunity to rehearse with a full band. Read more…
