ACT Model Car Racing Club wishes to thank the A.C.T. Government

Involving our Community and supporting those in need.

The ACT Model Car Racing Club wishes to thank the A.C.T. Government for their support in assisting our recent transition to Kambah East.

“We would like to work with Kambah residents in providing a Community Service to young enthusiasts and the Club has agreed to community requests to provide greater community access to the area”

“The Club has also been extensively involved with Community activities with donations from the proceeds of various meetings going to Cancer Research, the purchase of Hospital equipment and to support of the Victims of the ACT Bushfires. Were here to
help our community partners and look forward to ensuring all can have access to these facilities” Mr Wallin said.

The Club is also a regular fixture at the Wheels Car Show, itself a fund raiser for various community organisations.

In the past few years the club has continued to grow taking on outdoor racing at Jenke Cct in Kambah. Looking at relocating the club, due to the ongoing vandalism and security concerns, the Club engaged with the ACT Government and begun the process of locating a permanent site to build what will be one of the best RC Tracks in Australia.

After 12 months work and engagement, the disused Net Ball courts near Kett St in Kambah were determined to be appropriate.

With support of the Government the club applied for a Lease, which was granted, for the site and begun the construction of a new permanent Track. The new tracks construction has provided us with an opportunity to incorporate disabled access (attracting more physically challenged enthusiasts) as well as provide a quality facility for ACT Community groups such as the PCYC.
