Senator Gary Humphries

Senator Gary Humphries

Senator Humphries has shrugged off an attack on him in Question Time today by the Minister for Employment Participation, saying it tries to divert attention from Labor’s embarrassment over its treatment of Canberra.

“This was a ridiculous attempt by Minister Arbib to cover up Labor’s failure to deliver for the ACT,” said Senator Humphries.

Minister Arbib attacked Senator Humphries’ call for ACT schools and job seekers to get their fair share of Labor’s stimulus package. Read more…

Question Time, Mark Arbib comments, Canberra

October 30th, 2009 No comments

Senator HUMPHRIES (Australian Capital Territory) (6:22 PM) —I want to make a brief contribution to this debate. I want to commend the Senate Economics References Committee for its report on the government’s economic stimulus initiatives. Like Senator Macdonald, I would like to draw attention to the flawed thinking which is evident in the way the government has approached this stimulus spending. Obviously, anybody from blind Freddy upwards can see that the government is using a large amount of this stimulus spending for pork-barrelling. Read more…

Slip it on – Summer Shapewear by Bella Bodies

October 27th, 2009 No comments

As the warmer months approach, Australian women are replacing their denim and bulky jackets for finer and lighter fabrics that often show a lot more lumps and bumps than they’re used to. To help women with this transition, Bella Bodies Shapewear has launched two new garments, in time for summer: the Body Slip and Body V – Summer, designed to provide women with total body confidence while keeping cool and comfortable.

The Body Slip contours the body until thigh length, reducing many women’s main areas of concern: the midriff, buttocks and lower hips. It’s ideal to wear under light, clingy dresses providing a firm and flawless look, but can also be worn as part of a layered ensemble. The Body Slip comes in black and latte and because of its interchangeable straps, the neckline can be reinvented from a scoop neck to a halter-neck, disguising well under virtually any outfit.
