Product placement in Hollywood movies and sitcoms is alive and well for Confectionery Link in Melbourne.

National Sales Manager, Confectionery Link, Ken McLean explained that the Dubble Bubble Gumball brand, represented locally by Confectionery Link is predominately featured in a recent Hollywood blockbuster film G.I. Joe – The Rise of the Cobra. G.I. Joe was released in Australia last month.

The production budget was $170 million and it grossed $54 million in the opening week in America.

“We’re delighted at this exposure for Dubble Bubble – it’s almost subliminal.

Nothing tells more of success of a brand when it is placed, celebrated and craved in a Hollywood movie. What more could we ask for!” said Ken McLean.

Junior Mints

Ken also explained that another Confectionery Link brand, Junior Mints features in one of the most memorable episodes of Seinfeld, the TV sitcom.

“It is hilarious, and sold a lot of Junior Mints internationally” added Ken.
